Alban Muller’s plant extracts, soluble in sunflower oil, carry the benefits of each plant from which they originate. There are ideal in developing nourishing, filmogenic, regenerating and protective cosmetic products.
Water-Soluble vs. Oil-Soluble Active Ingredients
Oil-soluble active ingredients solubilize in a fatty substance, in contrast to water-soluble active ingredients (soluble in water or in aqueous phase, like Cosme-Phytamis®). In cosmetics, there are several types of oil-soluble active ingredients, including:
Oil-soluble plant extracts obtained through oily maceration
Lipidamis® – Oil-Soluble Plant Extracts
Alban Muller chose to develop plant extracts for cosmetics to integrate as active ingredients and components of the fatty phase of cosmetic products.
These 100% naturaloil-soluble plant extracts constitute active ingredients usable in the fatty phase of any cosmetic product: emulsions, face or body creams, hair products, etc.
Lipidamis® are oil-soluble plant extracts. They are obtained by macerating the plants in a vegetable oil: refined sunflower oil.
This solvent is ideal for extracting lipophilic active molecules from the related plant to reap their cosmetic benefits.
Tocopherols, a natural antioxidant, protect Lipidamis®.
Tocopherols present essential advantages:
They avoid alteration of oil-soluble plant extract when exposed to the air. They prevent the risks of oxidation and rancidity to better preserve the product over time.
They reduce or mask odor
